First Thus. This book was published as The Singer Not the Song in Great Britain in 1953 and then by Apple-Century-Crofts twice. This is a Literary Guild Selection under this title. States Literary Guild Edition pub. 1953. Cardinal Edition published September 1954. 1st printing July, 1954. Scarce under this title. The complete book. A 1961 movie titled The Singer Not the Song was based on Lindop's book. This book was stored badly and the spine bends forward a lot on top with multiple creases as photographed. After the first page which has a corner crease no defects are noted except for paper discoloration from age. There is a stain inside the cover and the bottom of the cover is begining to seperate and needs to be reglued.

Gently read Advance Reader Copy, Nick in Softcover. The cover got changed when this book was published, unique.

Inscribed on front end page, "To (Children's Names) May all your wildest dreams come true. Kimberly Knutson" with a star drawn on top. Book & Dust Jacket in VG condition but back end page got ripped up - all the pieces saved.

Near Fine Inside with the exception of small amount of wear. Corners are rubbed at top & bottom, edges are bent under & worn. Slight bend in the spine. Some fading to gilt lettering & decoration on spine. Book is GREEN and top pages of book are green also.

ARC Mysterious Press Softcover wrapper Near Fine, Teeeeeny crease at bottom edge by corner - may be from cutting book cover. A couple other little dents in cover. Has the blue & black cover with the car. True first edition.

Inside clean. Bottom front corner creased + corner rubbed, indent-type scratch on back wrapper.

States First Printing: January 1994. Very slight wear to top and bottom edge of jacket. Top edge and bottom corner is a little bit dirty from dust.

Hinges are cracked but yellow end papers intact. Book is complete. Name in pencil. Boards are rubbed, edges, corners and spine edges worn. Some pages were printed with a crinkle. Some page corners creased, a couple of stains. Good-

No Dj. Royal blue cover, top of pages are blue. Has a slight bend in the spine, gilt lettering and decoration on spine in nice condition. Not much wear to cover but soiled with a scratch and some tiny white dot marks. Spine is split more than 1/3rd of the way inside cover.

Inside Near Fine. No Dust Jacket. Embossed cover has Caxton Edition and "May blessings Be Upon The Head of Cadmus The Phoenicians or Whoever It Was That Invented Books" (in all caps). Cover has edgewear and some of the background black around the illustration has worn off. The cover is a bluish/turqoise.

Good condition, wrapper shows major wear, inside not bad. Complete with Kent color cigarette ad inserted into the binding. States First Printing.

Page 100 has the corrected version of fleas. Water stain at bottom, one page bottom also creased. No writing. End papers illustrated with about an inch or so tear in the back ripped. Untrimmed leaves. Top edge dyed green but faded. Backstrip bent with water stain. Stains on boards. End caps very worn. Book is complete.

This is NOT the Dell edition. Purple wrapper with brown figure, #6050, Hat & Pipe in Circle where Dell is inserted later. Paper is discolored from age. Bottom wrapper corner has several creases. The first chapter has a bottom corner crease beneath. Rubbed corners, chipped edges of spine, edgewear, crase along front edge of spine. Stamp on front end page Paperback Switch N' Stuff with address.
