Bath, England:: S. Hazard,, 1804.. Hardcover. ACCEPTABLE. Original 1804 edition. Fair. 10x12.5. Leather bound, 550 pages. Interior clean but for light foxing. Front and back boards are separated from binding, though the front board is still held by one string. Binding i s otherwise solid. The boards are rather worn but still attractive. Each of the black title plates on spine are approx one-third missing; heavy wear at top & bottom of spine. One loose page at the rear. American Tract Society,, 1890.. hardcover. Used, very good. Very Good book without dust jacket. 4.5x6.5. Decorative embossed green cloth cover with elaborate gilt lettering; 2 illus; 192 pages. No date (estimate of 1890 provided); American Tract Society reprint of London Religious Tract Society edition. Gilt lettering is clear and crispt, though gilt design at bottom of spine is faded. Cover has very slight soiling; cloth worn through on the tips of the corners; a little frayed at the top and bottom of spine. Interior is about like new, except that pages are very slightly yellowed and slightly brittle; a few misc small brown spots on a few pages near the beginning; name and town of prior own in neat ink script on the flyleaf, and approx one inch of the upper corner of the front flyleaf has been ripped away. Dust jacket shows a horse and rider in action driving a herd of horses; back cover of jacket shows ads for these books "So Much Good" by Franklin, "Onslaught" by Sutherland, "Water!" by Terhune, "Pluck" by King, and "Knuckles" by Kelland. CONDITION. Book is in such nice condition that it appears to be unread. Cover like new but for very s light thinning of the color on the sawtooth design on the top front cover.
