Binding lightly damp mottled, frontispiece foxed, title age toned. Inner hinges pulled but firm. Near contemporary inscriptiion on front free endpaper. Overall a good copy.

Binding poor, the spine chipped with rusting staples showing through; internally very good. Inscribed and signed by the author to the writer J. E. Harting, author of "Recreations of a Naturalist", "Hints on Shore Shooting" and much else. Very rare.
