Very Good in an about Fine slipcase. Honore Guilbeau. Two octavo volumes (6-3/4" x 9-1/4") bound in half black calf with gold stamping and rose paper sides printed in green with a design by W. A. Dwiggins who also designed and decorated the book. Preface by Sir Walter Scott. Copy #39 of 1500 illustrated with pencil drawings by Honore Guilbeau and SIGNED by the artist on the colophon page.

Illustrated by Clarke Hutton with 12 full-page two-color and 16 part-page black-and-white illustrations. Of 2000 copies SIGNED by the illustrator on the colophon page, this copy is out of series and not numbered.
