Greenaway incoporates people from the town of Strasbourg who agreed to pose nude for him into beautiful full color collages and images that represent various themes, myths and characters that have fascinated mankind. Includes detailed notes on all of the allegories by Greenaway along with intro by him. There is a minute mended tear to the top edge of the spine and front cover otherwise the book is vg+. A feast for the eye and mind.

London: Ambit, 1977. 71 1977 . Paper with Dustjacket. British literary magazine that is notable for an early published appearance by the popular artist/satirist who is mostly known for his many collaborations with Hunter Thompson. Steadman has contributed a very funny portfolio of 7 b&w "penis" drawings and one has been used for the cover and is printed in orange. A must have for Steadman completest. Also included in the issue are pieces by J.G. Ballard and many other British writers and artists who are unknown to me. Very minute light soiling to the white dj. Fine. Also lncluded is a nice full color 28pg. booklet from the dvd release of "Fear and Lothing In Las Vegas" which has many drawings and illustrations by Steadman.

New York City: Dodd Mead & Co., 1933. First American Edition . Small Cloth with Dustjacket. Man & God once more with Shaw, this time its a black girl in search for God. A controversial book when published. The title page, superb endpapers and 19 beautiful wood engravings are by John Farleigh and are outstanding. Laid in the book is a rare small copy of a reprint of the period of the book of the month club news which has Heywood Broun writing about the book. The dustjacket is near fine with a few minute small chips and the book itself is fine.

Early book on animation focuses on the making of the first feature length British animated film "Animal Farm" which was created by the important animation team of Halas and Batchelor. Illustrated with b&w drawings, sketches and photos. A few small pieces missing from the spine panel of the dustjacket and a tiny touch of shelf wear to the bottom edge of the cloth, otherwise a nice clean copy.

This one is on Alfred Hitchcock's 1929 British film that was released as a silent and early all talkie film. Both version are discussed along with's lots of info. on the making of the film. Illustrated with b&w stills and frames. Fine.

There is light wear and some corner creases to the front and back covers which are not part of the book, otherwise the book is vg.

This is the 1946 reissue with chapters on the camera, sound, the projector, color cinematagraphy, the picture theatre and more. illustrated with 1 color photo on the frontispiece along with 52 b&w photographs on 24 plates and many small b&w in text iillustrations. Nice Art Deco design on the front cover along with an equally nice two color Deco dustjacket. Very minute minor easy to live with rippling to the top and bottom edges of a few pages, the paper used is quite thin and some light wear to the dustjacket. Altogether a very nice copy. Vg/vg. .
