A wonderful collection of 33 different copies of the now defunct Angelika Filmbill that was given out free at the Angelika theatre in New York City. The programs date from November 1993 to March 2002 when the theatre stopped publication. Each program was usually 40pgs. and were filled with reviews of the films shown along with interviews with filmmakers, soundtrack reviews and more. The Angelika is known for showing independent American and foreign films. Also laid in are handbills with short notes on films and some of the newer not as nice foldover programs that have taken the place of the more fancy programs. Sold as a collection only.

Each program is about 25pgs. and includes notes on the films shown which are mainly experimental and avant-garde but also listed are little known main stream films. Each program has a cover designed by an aritst and these include an attractive array of talents including LOUISE BOURGEOIS, ALFRED LESLIE, CHUCK CLOSE, JONAS MEKAS, ED RUSCHA, ANDRES SERRANO, MICHAEL SNOW, CHRISTO, GARY PANTER AND MARTIN PURYEAR + several others. All the programs in vg-fine condition. Sold as a collection only.
