1718. Fine. Handwritten parchment lease dated 26 March 1718. Susanna Springett, the elder of Hawkhurst, Kent Co., widow, and Susanna Springett, the younger of Hawkhurst, spinster, only daughter and heir of Richard Springett, late of Hawkhurst, yeoman, lease for one year to Thomas Dunk of Little Chelsea, Middlesex Co., knight, a house, barn, oast house, gardens, orchards, etc. on 20 acres in Hawkhurst for 5 shillings. With the seals and signatures of both women and a stamp. Also signed by witnesses Sam Durrant and Sam Durrant, Jun. The property was on Woodsden Lane and next to other property owned by Sir Thomas Dunk, who died later that year. In Fine Condition: clean and crisp.

Cambridge: Privately printed, Riverside Press, 1864. Hardcover. Very Good -. 2 volumes (419, 453 p.); 23 cm. Half calf with gilt-tooled spine title. Red-brown paper over boards. Top page edges gilt. Pale yellow endpapers. Title page printed in red and black, with vignette. On each front fixed endpaper is the armorial bookplate of Morris Morgan (with griffin, stag's head, and 3 cupids, and the Morgan family motto "Fama praestante praestantior virtus"). In Very Good- Condition: heavily rubbed; old repair at vol. 1 head of spine; some browning of pages; clean and tight.
