Henry Arthur Morgan (1830-1912) was a Master of Jesus College, Cambridge University, from 1885 to his death in 1912. In Near Fine- Condition: minor chipping at lower edge; clean and bright.

New York: Vanden Houten & Co. printers, 1887. Hardcover. Good -. 113 p.: illustrations; 25 cm. Dark blue cloth with gilt-stamped cover title; blind-stamped decoration on both boards. The chairman of the board of editors was Floy McEwen, later a well-known doctor. Includes illustrations by William H. Johns, later president of the American Association of Advertising Agencies. The advertisements include a 2-page chromolithographed ad for Gordon & Dilworth, producers of preserves, jellies, mince meat, plum pudding, salad dressing, olives, capers, brandy fruits, and "New Process Catsup," and an engraved ad in red and green for A.E. Chasmar & Co., art stationers and engravers. Inscribed on front free endpaper: "To Delta, compliments of [pi squared]. Please exchange." Very scarce. Sir Leslie Ward (1851-1922), English caricaturist and portrait painter, signed his works 'Spy.' John James Hornby (1826-1909), English rower while at Oxford, was headmaster of Eton College from 1868 to 1884, when he became provost, a post retained until his death. In Near Fine- Condition: minor foxing/soiling in lower margin; otherwise, clean and bright.
