Small octavo, 620pp. Ex-library with hardly any markings (bookplate on front paste-down and small, handwritten paper label on the spine). Bound by Riviere in 3/4 polished green calf and green cloth with modest gilt tooling. Top edge gilt and marbled endpapers. Some leather dry at the seams and spine faded to an olive-brown, but a tight, bright, clean copy internally, overall very good. This is one of fifty copies "specially prepared, indexed, and bound for presentation to a few particularly valued customers," and SIGNED by Clark, the proprietor. This is copy number 21, and still has the presentation card laid into the limitation page. Clark, a publisher and bookseller in Cleveland, Ohio, published a few of these catalogues between 1906 and 1914, and this is the first of them.
