Pp 292, no index but illustrated throughout by various contributors. Each entry is hand written, signed and many are self illustrated and photo-copied. The title page cartoon alone appears commercial and is of a preacher (?) in a stew pot with native reading "Favorite Recipes. " The table of contents begins with Table Graces and includes Special Graces (holidays,) Graces (family times,) and Children's Graces'. Section dividers are hand illustrated. Colophon, promotional blurbs including (the ever present) Pears' Soap follow the text. The back cover is an advert for the Little Journeys to the homes of English Authors, series in black and red ink. The endpages are heavily toned; edges unevenly opened with some short tears (one remains unopened); the cover edges are worn.; 8vo .
