This ballet, based on that of Marius Petipa and Serguei Khoudekov, was choregraphed by Rudolf Noureev (or Nureyev) in 1992, and is the first three-act, as opposed to four-act, rendition. Although the plot synopsis (one page) is rendered in German and English as well as French, the rest of the playbill is entirely in French. It's quite a long playbill, 125 pages plus endmatter advertising, and has photos from the production in both b&w and color. A BONUS, and perhaps worth the price of admission, is an actual ticket to a performance (Nov 25, 2001), left loose in the book.. First. Trade Paperback.
