Dodge City: Boot Hill Museum, 1990. Soft cover. Fine. Circa 1990 black & white 8 1/2" x 11" photographic print of Boot Hill Museum gunfighters. This is a glossy print, nicely done, but likely a lot were printed. But find 'em! Signed by ten of the gunfighters. We can't decipher every signature, but the ones we can, or are close on, are: Muley, Larry Mayfield, Matthew G. Sloan, Skeeter, Jason Carpenter, Big Daddy, & Pete. They are ink signed with one red felt pen signed. The Boot Hill Museum is located in Dodge City, Kansas. Fine condition.

We include this book in an Oklahoma catalogue because the history of Fort Dodge & Dodge City is joined at the hip (aka: border) with settlement & "pacification" of the Indians, the cattle industry of Indian Territory, & activities in the Panhandle & NW Oklahoma. An attractive book in vg condition. A cracked hinge after the ffep has been reglued. No dj as issued. NY: Birdcage Bottom Books, 2021. First Edition. Soft cover. Collectible Fine. 1st printing as a separate. Pictorial wraps. (24pp). Interior subtitle is "a true tale of the Westboro Baptist Church." This is the author's account done in graphic illustration, comic book style. The pages have color-- pinks and off blues. You don't have to do much research to find out the particular brand of religion that masquerades as Christianity emanated from this corner of what otherwise must be the lovely city of Topeka, Kansas. This is the author's story of trying to stay on the right side of God as interpreted by the church and her father. Sad and disturbing. Fine condition. Copies very hard to locate.

Autobiography of a turn-of-20th-Century rural Kansas doctor. He carried a Colt Peacemaker to ward off "wild dogs." Better than most ex-lib copies because this one has no back sleeve & minimal markings. Physical condition vg in chipped dj with library label & piece of brown tape around backstrip near bottom.

Laid in is stapled 8pp promo, "Subscribers To Lincoln Memorial Monument Fund", with list of dozens of named subscribers & the amount they pledged. Soliciting committee was Bernhardt, H. C. Bradbury, & J. S. Strange. This book was staple bound with the covers glued to the spine. The covers are pulling loose at the spine. Tiny chip to upper cover corner at spine, else vg taking into consideration the pulling at spine.

Leavenworth: n.p., 1922. First Edition. Soft cover. Collectible Very Good. Original small stapled and printed pamphlet, 4" x 5 3/4". (12pp). Stamped on the front cover is, "Seymour Transfer & Storage Co." On the third page inside on the Seymour ad, Seymour is marked over in pencil and the word "PIRATE" hand-printed above it. This pamphlet is an advertising booklet that includes inside the coves and on back cover a list of the city officers, the police and fire departments, the board of education and county officials. The ads (no graphics; just text) are for various named businesses for studio photography, building supply, motor car dealers and garages, gas stations, painting, welding, groceries, firearms, cigars, chickens and eggs, flowers, chiropractor, the Hippodrome Theatre, etc. and my favorite perhaps, "For a Real Breakfast Try Schalker's Trophy Bacon." K.S.: S. H. Knox & Co, 1908. 2nd Edition. Soft cover. Very Good. Oblong wraps (9 3/4" x 8") with gilt outlined raised lettering. Unpag. (48pp: one page Intro & 47pp half-tones) of Kansas City views & buildings. There was a 1905 issue & our research indicates it may possibly have had fewer illustrations. Small chip bottom corner of front cover; a few small dog ears. Vg. Quite rare in both original printings.

Gift inscription on blank verse of ffep from the "Advertising Club of Wichita." A remarkable achievement and key resource for research. Most vintage maps reproduced are in b/w, but the frontispiece map, the endpaper maps, and at least one other are in color. Fine in actually vg dj with some wear to edges & short tears. A bit of staining.
