In one volume titled JOURNEYS OF OBSERVATION are what might be considered two books: AMONG THE MINES OF MEXICO (255pp) & ACROSS THE SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS (130pp). The first is described: "Being the record of a journey from New York to Mexico, together with a description of the mining industry of El Oro, Pachuca, and Guanajuato, as observed in October, 1905." It is a reprint from The Mining and Scientific Press. The second is described: "Being the account of a ride over the mountainous mining regions of Southwestern Colorado, in September, 1902." It is reprinted from The Engineering and Mining Journal. This remarkable book has dozens of plates & drawings & several nice maps. A rare & desirable Texas & Mexican book. Copies of the cloth edition naturally appear more often on the market than the paper bound edition.
