Near bottom of this page is a 6-line inscription signed by Ann B. Neuman who says that Mr. Neuman was a close friend of Dobie & gave the latter many stories. Therefore, an unusual multiple association copy. The unfavorable news is that the back cover of this copy has a tideline stain on a lower quadrant. (Chicago Tribune obit). This copy is fine and elegant, and is bound in red leather with a gold stripe running diagonally across both front and back covers.
