Chicago: Rand, McNally, 1893. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 1st printing. Professionally rebound in red-orange cloth with black imprinted spine with decoration. 275pp. I compared this copy, which I received disbound, with a copy in original binding which I have sold. This copy is missing the Buffalo Bill front., but has the second one as well as Burke's portrait. My comparison showed this copy has an additional ad (one ad is for Siringo's A Texas Cow-Boy). Text block in vg to near fine condition; title page which is thick enough to be a front cover, is in vg condition. My research on the previous copy has me saying the following: "This book's rarity is noted in the 2005 (non-facsimile) paperback reprint, where the writer of the Intro, Dr. Jason Berger, says that only one of four modern Cody biographers even cited this book, & then just barely. Very few copies of this book have been offered for sale in the last eighty odd years, & few libraries have a copy. The owner of this copy may be…

The front board has an area where the brown is slightly faded, I suspect from a water spill. This sounds bad, but there is no warping or odor and the copy still grades even with this "very good."
