Descriptive Text accompanies each railway. DJ has some wear to edges, bumps at corners and tears at bottom spine front (1/2") and back (1"). No creases. New mylar cover. Identification sticker to bottom front endpaper. A bit of hinging near bottom of this endpaper. Text is very clean and bright. Bro wn textured paper on board binding has a neat block print looking photo of close-up train wheels on track. Binding has a bit of rubbing to edges and wear to corners and top and bottom of spine. Reads very much like a how-to book for those intrepid but inexperienced Americans who have never travelled "West of the Golden Gate". Filled with interesting details; remarkable sepia-toned photographs. Cover is brown cloth with gilt lettering and v. nic e gilt design on front depicting Golden Gate Bridge and pagoda. Spine is bright and clear; front also in lovely cond. Min wear to edges and corners, otherwise flawless. Endpapers are ivory, pristine. Text is clean.. A good copy of this interesting travel memoir. Note: Pub error in spelling Massachusetts on titile page.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket.
