Arrowsmith led an accomplished life even prior to his service, and his funeral was reported to be attended by more than 1,000 mourners. The book details most all aspects of Arrowsmith's brief life.
Condition is Acceptable only. The binding is straight and sound. Inside pages are complete and unmarked.
The primary condition issue stems from old damp exposure. A large portion of the front board has been discolored. Damp exposure resulted in wearing off of the blue (clay-based) buckram coating, leaving the underlying board cloth exposed. On the reverse side of this damp exposure, the front pastedown endpaper shows a light stain, and has partially bubbled up from the board.
Inside pages were not affected by this exterior damp condition.
