Pennsburg, Pennsylvania: The Board of Publication of the Schwenkfelder Church, 1924. Soft cover. Good. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. 64pp. Actual date of publication is unknown. Circa 1924. "1924" handwritten in ink to lower front cover and a short handwritten note to lower part of dedication page. The note references the Minutes of the General Conference meeting on May 17, 1924. Tiny wear spots to head and tail of spine and a small bump to upper corner of volume near edges of pages. Small soiled spots to covers, though this isn't terribly offensive. Aside from aforementioned ink-inscription, text is clean. Overall, remains a nice, clean, sound copy. VERY SCARCE

Romae (Rome): Pontificia Universitas Gregoriana, 1960. Soft cover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. (ii), 103pp. Bound in original wrappers. An ink-stamp to front cover. Ink-notes and marks to text. These are largely corrections of the printed text. Some lettering is faded from aging, though this is a relatively limited occurrence and most of the letters can still be read. Extremities admit to short tears and minor creases, including pages. Binding sound. This is a very scarce book

Amstelodami (Amsterdam): Sumptibus Societatis, 1745. Leather. Good+. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. 2 volumes. Volume I: (iv), 531pp., (i) (Errata); Volume II: (iv), 323pp., (i), viii, 138p. Very nicely and newly rebound in 1/2 dark reddish brown leather over marble paper covered boards, with gilt lettering to spine. Bindings are strong. Volumes include new endpapers and open very nicely, making the books very user friendly. Several institutional stamps to title-pages, as well as a small number of additional pages. A very neat, single line of writing in ink to each title-page. Volumes have been fully collated, with all wear noted. Pages admit to mostly just light foxing, here and there, with a little heavier foxing to a small number of leaves. Additionally, creasing and some erasure marks can be found, here and there, though are not offensive at all. One leaf admits to a tiny hole, with no loss of lettering. Mildly ex-library, with no exterior library markings on new binding. Volume admits to a mild cocking appearance, though this isn't offensive. Typical library treatments to title-page. Rebound in full cream colored leather with gilt lettering to spine. Top edges of pages gilt. Decorated parts of red cloth (1 to front cover, 2 to spine) from original red cloth binding were utilized in the new binding. Very minor wear to covers. Frontispiece, title-page and last plate professionally repaired (reattached to book). The repair includes new page edges (margins), which slightly cover the extremities of the plates. First approximately 6 pages admit to some wear, including small pieces missing, though there is no effect on the reading of the text. All 31 called for mounted illustrations and portraits are present and in place. Exterior is bound in dark green, with a gilt decoration to spine and gilt lettering to front cover, along with gilt rule border on front and back boards. Several small bumps to extremities. Paper over boards admits to a number of chips and tears, as well as some general light to medium soiling. Some browning to interior. Minor, short tears to margins of just a few pages. No writing to text. Reprinted in the book are memorials for Collier, including "letters from friends," which includes letters from Theodore Roosevelt and Mark Twain, as well as tributes from the press. This volume contains the Lamennais French translation of the Imitation and is followed by the Ordinary of the Mass in French and Latin. Bound in full, burgundy leather, with clear and bright gilt decorative cross on both front and back covers, along with clear and bright gilt title on upper spine, and clear and bright gilt binder name (Gruel) to lower spine. All edges gilt. If one looks closely and/or fans the pages a little, one can see that the edges of the pages are marbled below the gilt. This creates a lovely appearance to the page edges. Dark green marker-ribbon admits to light wear. The covers admit to tiny wear spots, including several ever so tiny "cuts," here and there, though none of this is offensive. Edition tiree a quatre-vingts examplaires sur papier velin a la forme (This edition is not numbered.) Includes engraved frontispiece and 36 (thirty-six) additional plates at end of volume. A number of additional illustrations to text, all in black and white. Circa 1895. Volume was originally bound in 1/2 black leather, with gilt lettering to spine. Leather is very worn, including being brittle in places. The leather over the spine is detached at back and nearly detached at front. The buyer should assume that the leather over spine will become completely detached. That being said, because the binding is a reinforced binding, the boards remain much more firmly attached. Signed by both authors to title-page. A gift inscription in ink to front free endpaper. Just a touch of wear to exterior, with additional light rubbing to black "label" on spine. Aside from aforementioned inscription and signatures, text is clean. Binding sound

Only a hint of wear to exterior of book. Some minor erasure marks to front free endpaper and front printer's blank and just a touch of creasing to a few leaves. Text clean and binding sound. Some light to medium wear and light soiling, in places, to solid, intact slip case, which is still attractive. An attractive copy

Pagination runs continuously through both volumes, with 16 pages of prefatory material to each volume and 928 total pages of text. Volumes are profusely illustrated. Volume 1 was printed in 1879, while volume 2 was printed in 1882. Very nicely and uniformly bound in 1/2 red leather, with 5 faux raised bands to spines, and gilt lettering, decorations, and rule to spines. Additional gilt to leather on boards. Marbled endpapers. Leather is generally very nice, with several small worn area to extremities. Just a touch of soiling to edges of pages. Bindings are sound, with reinforced hinges. Several tiny chips and tiny worn areas to original black leather, which can only be seen on spine and edges of covers. All edges gilt. With marker-ribbons. Minor interior wear, with mild creasing here and there, as well as minor pieces of a few corners missing. Some wear to front endpapers of volume 1, where papers had been adhering to one another.
