Description:
First trade paperback edition, published by Henry Holt, 1994. The account of what became known as the 'Scopes II' trial in Church Hill, Tennessee. 365 pages with Index, and a section of photos. This is a remainder copy with a green ink swipe mark to the top edge of the text block. There is a bump mark to the bottom left side of the front cover, with a spot of edge wear to that corner as well. Similar bump mark to the top right corner of the back cover. Slight dots of edge wear to the left side at the spine, though no creases to the spine or cover. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Edges of the text block are clean. The attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.

Description:
Hardcover with dust jacket, published by New American Library, 1966. This is a Book Club Edition. True crime classic about the murders of several women in the Boston area in the early 1960's, as well as the trial that followed. Basis for the 1968 film directed by Richard Fleischer, starring Henry Fonda and Tony Curtis. 365 pages. Black cloth covered boards, with the author and title imprinted on the spine in red. Boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or creased. Dust jacket is intact, though it has a chip of about 1/2 across at the top right corner, smaller chips at the head of the spine, edge wear, crease marks to the head and heel of the spine, and a circular mark on the front of the jacket where a sticker was removed. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Rough fore edge of the text block is relatively clean , top edge has a couple light smudges. Not a remainder copy, not a library discard. Binding is tight and square. Attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
