Fine original condition.. 4to (11 x 8-1/2 inches, on lined, hole-punched paper).. Written in ink and corrected throughout by Farrel in pencil, and signed in ink by him on the first leaf. First published in the magazine Thought (September 30, 1961); it was quickly reprinted in Nugget VI (December, 1961). The essay's subject is Farrell's reflections on the life of Ernest Hemingway and the meeting of the author to his generation, written in the months following Hemingway's death.
