Prefaced by an extract from the memoirs of her granddaughter Aurore Sand. Illustrated by photos, portraits and drawings by the author, including a fold-out in the rear of the Carthusian monastery at Valldemossa where Chopin and Sand lived in a three-room "cell." This book evidently purchased at the monastery, with ink stamp to the half-title page: "Celda / Federico Chopin / Y / George Sand." 82 pp., chronology and bibliography. Paperbound 8vo. Cream wraps, printed in red and black. VG with minor edge wear. Clean and securely bound.
