Binding rubbed and worn at the extremities; front board has been tastefully reattached; the leather at the rear joint is separating but the board remains fairly solid; some splitting to the leather at the spine; bookseller's ticket on the bottom of the front pastedown; some bookseller's pencil notation on the front endpapers, otherwise clean. All in all a solid and fairly appealing copy despite the wear. Text in Greek and Latin. ESTC R3100.

In original cloth with decorative title in gold on the spine and decoration in gold on the front cover; all black and white plates are present as called for. A fairly nice copy with light shelfwear to the binding, including some softened corners and spine ends; some staining to the rear cover; spine sunned; textblock has a noted forward lean; contents are clean but for one opening that has just a bit of soiling. An uncommon collection form a turn of the century series of collections of folklore.
