An uncommon mid-career mystery by Du Bois, remarkably well preserved given the wartime publication.

A stout copy with little wear, but the covers and the textblock edges are somewhat foxed; a little of foxing to the preliminary pages, but the contents are largely clean. A nice reprint of this classic.

Spine is sunned to tan otherwise this is a fairly clean sharp copy; binding has a slight forward lean; offsetting to the endpaper; contents are clean and binding solid. Uncommon to find what appears to be Holloway's only book in the first edition in reasonable condition.

A nice copy of the American first edition of the first novel in Bank's Culture series; and his first published work of science fiction.

Light soiling and rubbing to the binding including some fraying to the top corner of the front board; faint silverfishing to the covers and the fore-edge of the textblock, very minor; the copy presents quite well; contents clean.

In publisher's decorative bonded leather binding; illustrated endsheets; satin ribbon marker, all edges gilt. Light shelfwear, only; contents are clean and the binding sound; a bit of very trivial rubbing to the gilt edges. All in all, a very nice copy of the compendium of one of the most popular science fiction, fantasy, and horror writers of the last century.

As issued in publisher's black cloth with printed title label on the spine and pictorial label on the front cover. Quite a bright copy with a bit of foxing/dusting to the textblock edges and some offsetting to the endpaper from the dust jacket; also, there is some tape residue on the back endpaper, The dust jacket is fairly nice with some tape repair/reinforcing to the top of the spine; otherwise, it is only lightly shelfworn and because of its pebbled texture, evenly and lightly soiled on the back panel.

West Warwick, RI: Necronomicon Press Fiction, 1993. Soft Cover. Very Good binding. Octavo. 28 pp. First edition; signed and inscribed by Chappell on the title page. As issued, stapled into pictorial wrappers. Bit of sunning to the front and rear covers at the spine otherwise a clean crisp copy here signed and inscribed to poet and Chappell's colleague, Stuart Dischell.

Ex-personal library with a bookplate on the front free endpaper as well as a date stamp and a 4-digit number; stamp on the bottom edge of the textblock. A bit edgeworn as well as a slight forward lean to the binding. Some residue on the pastedowns from where a a dust jacket protector may have been adhered--not reflected on the jacket itself; fairly minor. Even toning to the page edges throughout, scattered foxing towards the rear. Dust jacket is in very nice condition and retains the price on the front flap. Relatively uncommon.

London: John Lane, the Body Head, 1907. Hard Cover. Very Good binding. 12mo. [6], 200 pp. Second Edition. Green ribbed cloth with title in gold on the spine. Binding a bit toned, particularly at the spine. Corners and spine ends are only a trifle frayed. Offsetting at the endpaper; textblock is evenly toned. Paget was a prolific author and critic. This is a fairly uncommon and early edition of one of her collections of supernatural fiction.

In publisher's red cloth with title in black on the front cover and spine; lacking the dust jacket but for the front flap which has been pasted to the front endpaper. Binding is a bit shelfworn and soiled; spine darkened; binding has a slight forward lean; previous owner name in pencil on the front free endpaper; some light toning and occasional spotting to the textblock, but largely clean. Uncommon early book from the radio scriptwriter and novelist.
