Tissue guards on illustrations Spine of volume 1 shows dates 1776-1862 and chapters cover the history of slavery in the U.S, etc. Leather is rubbed through on a couple of corners, and a few small scrapes on spine. Top edge of spine of both volumes worn and chipped. The letter C of Conflict is scraped off of the spine of vol. 1. Corner crease on one page. Volume 2 title on spine has dates 1862-1865. No foxing except facing & on verso of portrait pages. Very nice sturdy, clean, unmarked books. Not available for international shipping.
