Inside this copy lacks the engraved title, frontis and half-title pages, beginning with the printed title. Text is unmarked and foxing is minor, but each of the excellent Phiz plates is turning brown at the edges. 624 pp. + 38 plates (lacking frontis).

All text, hand-lettered in white ink, is on the title page, limitation page and 2 following pp. of captions for the photos. 25 in all, they are prints made from Bynner's original negatives, and chronicle the trip he took with the Lawrences to Mexico, described in his book 'Journey with Genius". All parts in fine condition.
