Description:
Dallas: Daddy-O Productions, 1976. First Edition. Consisting of 150 individually captioned color xeroxes, with a signed copyright page and a leaf of introduction; bound into limp cowhide with decorative brads; the front cover is embossed with the title and Texas motifs (lone stars, horseshoes, broncos, roses) bordered by a stamped rope border. Aside from small spots, a fine copy. There are some reproduced photographs of Wade and weird Texas scenes, but most of the photographs are of the artist’s installations. The final leaf pictures the book in production at a Xerox machine. Wade is especially renowned for his monumental (and humorous) sculptures, many made with found objects.

Zurich: Orell Fussli, 1931. First Edition. (Parr/Badger, v. 1, 130). Text in Hebrew and in German. Publisher’s photo-illustrated boards; minor rubbing; near fine. Illustrated with 65 images, many of them montages, of the ghetto in Vilnius, Lithuania. The photographer clearly held an unromantic view of life in the city where he had been raised and educated. The people are bundled up against the cold and the buildings are worn and grim, all the more poignant given their disappearance just a few years later with the Nazi invasion.

Description:
New York: Simon & Schuster/ Verve, 1955. First Edition; published in cooperation with Verve; printed in France. Folio; only minute wear; a fine copy in the rare “transmatic” dust jacket. These dust jackets employed clear plastic, usually acetate, with printed paper flaps. Highly fragile, often perished or defective, this example is in excellent condition, with only minor chipping of the acetate. The colorful Miro illustrated front and back boards are therefore unobscured. The caption booklet is laid in. Nearly everyone now carries a camera, but Cartier-Bresson captured magic with his Leica.
