Description:
New York: Gilley et al., 1829. First American Edition (? another American edition was issued the same year); the two volume English edition was published in 1828. Publisher’s muslin backed paper covered boards; worn; paper spine label mostly perished; notes on the rear endpapers; a good copy, but scarce, especially as originally issued. The editor is anonymous, and while Wolff questioned the reliability of the attribution, he added a “k” to Shoberl’s first name. So much for reliability.
