There is an inscription on the front end page which reads "to RSL best wishes", and then two signatures one of which can be translated as Paul Smith and the other is indecipherable. Otherwise the book is in very good condition. This book was printed with all proceeds going to the RSL. Approximately half the poems were provided by members of the military and ex-military, and the general public, the remainder were collected through research in the private record started at the Australian War Memorial.
