Published by Virginia and Leonard Woolf. 8vo. 256 pp. 8 5/8" x 5 1/2" in the "peach" coloured dust jacket printed black with the blue gilt stamped blue cloth. Typically this edition is housed in an orange dust jacket but according to "Washington State University Library has a copy in peach with "Travellers Copy"written across the top". Woolmer 422. This copy does not. This is a book on etiquette that the actress Viola Tree adapted from her eight years as an advice columnist called 'Can I Help You?' in London's Sunday Dispatch. A very solid and lovely copy. A very good copy for any Hogarth Press collector.

Of the two Vanessa Bell catalogues in this format, with the Woolf forward, the 1930 while scarce in condition is the more common. The 1934 is rare & we have not seen another offered in some time. This is a very good copy showing its age but here it is, none-the-less ["Not offered for sale"] - Kirkpatrick B14.

She continued to work on it as she began writing The Pargiters and she wrote in her Diary at the end of 1932 that she was using Flush to "cool" her mind after the effort of writing The Pargiters".
