The frontispiece is an original etching pencil-signed by Schaldach. William Joseph Schaldach (1896-1982) was a writer on art and outdoor sporting, editor for Field and Stream, and most notably an important American wildlife artist. The book offered here is beautifully bound in full vellum with a gilt vignette of a trout rising to a mayfly on the front cover. In addition to the original art of the frontispiece, there are 60 full-page reproductions of Schaldach's fish art. The book is in very good condition: clean, bright, and tight; some rubbing and discoloration of the velum.. SIGNED. Limited First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Dust Jacket, as Issued. In addition the book is illustrated with 15 full-page reproductions of Clark's drypoints of ducks--5 of them in color. Binding is red cloth, ruled in gold on the front cover. The book is clean and tight, with some edgewear (color rubbed, but NO tearing or fraying of cloth). Internally, pages are clean and bright, with a hint of toning on the deckled foreedges... SIGNED. Originally written in 1839 by Radcliffe, the Master of the Hertfordshire Hounds, this 4th edition was edited, revised and expanded by first William C. A. Blew and then later by Cuthbert Bradley. Both volumes are in very good condition: clean, bright, and tight; only faint toning of pages; a hint of fraying at spine extremities.. Fourth Edition. Hardcover. Germantown, TN: Chubby Andrews and Company, 1993. 272 pages. Limited to 3,300 copies. Signed by Dr. William "Chubby" Andrews on title page. Also on title page is an almost full-page ORIGINAL pencil drawing by noted artist Larry Toschic, with his inscription, "Time for pleasant reading and happy thoughts, Larry Toschic". The author writes of the time he spent with Nash Buckingham during the last fifteen years of Buckingham's life, hunting together at Beaver Dam. Also, tales of their friends, and Buck's younger days. Several photographs are included. Introduction by Larry Toschic. A wonderful copy! Top edges of pages have a hint of toning-otherwise fine. Dj just lightly edgeworn; in new mylar.. SIGNED. London: Thomas McLean, 1824. Original hand-colored aquatint, drawn and engraved by Henry Alken ((1785-1851). Printed by Howlett and Brimmer. Image is 5 3/4 inches by 8 1/4 inches on a sheet measuring 9 1/2" X 13 5/8". Alken was one of the most prolific sporting artists in 1rth century England. But for some smudging limited to the blank margins, the print is in near fine condtion: clean and bright.. Original. Single Sheet. Near Fine. Illus. by Henry Alken. 5 3'4" X 8 1/4". Fine Art Print.

New York: Frank J. Lowe, 1945. Edition limited to 250 impressions.  SIGNED in pencil by Roland Clark. Image is 14 1/4 inches by 18 1/4 inches. Sheet is 22 3/4 inches by 28 1/2 inches. Archivally matted and shrink-wrapped--ready for a 26 3/8" X 29 1/2"frame. Frank Lowe worked for Derrydale, which produced Clark's hand-colored prints. When Derrydale went out of business, Lowe began to produce the same high quality prints for the artist. The print is in fine condition: clean and bright. "Seclusion" seldom comes on the market, and when it does, the paper usually is toned and the colors almost always are dulled and subdued. Neither of those issues applies to the print offered her. He studied at the Art Students League under John Sloan and George Bridgman. The image of the drypoint offered here is 6 1/2 inches by 4 1/4 inches and is matted 13" X 10 3/4" and shrink-wrapped.
