Very Good-/Very Good-. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 420 pp. From the collection of a Civil War generals burial site researcher. Two-tone gray cloth boards with bright gilt design and print. Hinges are slightly loosened. Light corner and spine end wear, with light rubbing on hinges and bottom edges. Glue residue from manufacturing on front board where the two colors of fabric meet. Front pasted down paper has note on top edge, "9/24/81, Appomatox, VA" and rear free end paper has calculations in ink. Other ink notations, mostly dates under pictures throughout book, obviously used as resource material. Page edges are a little darkened with light soiling on bottom edge. Dust jacket has creasing, and rubbing wear, especially showing on rear panel's light colored background. Chipping on top of spine end and corners. Now in protective cover.
