Contains numerous black and white illustrations with full color frontis with tissue guard. There are no marks but pasted to front pastedown is the obituary of Viollet-Leduc dated Paris, Sept. 18, 1888 as well as an 1890 ad for the book. To FFEP is pasted a story of the ancient races of North America by Robert Donald. End papers are dark brown and fragile with splits at both front and back gutters. All edges are red. Bevelled binding has wear to spine edges and corners with light rubbing front and back. Digital photos available. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 394 pages .
