Chip out of leather at bottom of spine. Rubbed at corners. Top of fore edge chipped. First 100 pp +/- have a light water stain along edges. Most pp foxed. Front hinge just starting. 100 + wood engraved illustrations, most a full page in size. Endpapers and edges marbled. Travel section is interesting. NOTE: Over 5lb.; additional charges for mailing.. Jacket - Tear in back panel, soiled esp on spine, shelfwear, starting to chip: about FAIR PLUS to GOOD MINUS condition. 12pp introduction by Valery is followed by a short discussion of the photos. The balance of the book is 216 exquisitely composed, crystal clear, black & white photos by Martin Hurlimann. There are 16pp of brief comments on each picture at the end of the book. Secretaria de Turismo, Mexico, 1996. 12.5" X 9.25" in blindstamped brown cloth. Lengthy dedication donor to recipient on title page. Otherwise, superb conndition: about VERY GOOD PLUS condition. Jacket shows some shelfwear and light soiling on back: About VERY GOOD condition. This is a beautifully illustrated book about the Copper Canyon area of northwest Mexico, which, altho difficult to believe, was virtually unknown to the outside world until about 2 decades ago. The interconnected series of 8 canyons is 4 times longer than the Grand Canyon in Arizona. A gorgeous book full of surprising information about this little-known area of Mexico. 157pp.+ bibliography.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good.

Del Duca, Paris 12" X 9 3/8" in hard covers. Binding is sound and pages clean, but covers are darkened and dulled from handling: about GOOD PLUS condition. Jacket - scuffed, chipping along edges, somewhat soiled: Just GOOD condition. This is a tourist book showing some of the most beautiful spots in Paris. About a half-dozen of these photos are in color, the rest in black and white. There is no publication date, but I believe this is Paris circa the early 1950's. Text in English, German, French. Very fine photography, as one might expect. Unpaginated.. Hardcover. Good/Good.

Missouri Pacific - Iron Mountain Railroad, 1914. 8" X 5.5" in illustrated paper covers. Covers lightly soiled, 2 very light library inkstamps on front cover (no other library markings). This is a marvelous 94 year old guidebook to Hot Springs, Arkansas,published by a Railroad company serving that area of the country. 46pp with illustrations of local attractions, etc on every page but the last 3. There is also a nifty color fold-out railroad map inside the back cover. Interior pages and map in like-new condition.. Soft cover. Very Good/No Jacket.

International Art Co. London, 1897. 11 3/8" X 13 3/4" (oblong) in stained, soiled covers. Both hinges cracking, free endpapers front and back torn in half, Very light water stain in top margin of most pages - does not get into text or pictures: Overall, about FAIR PLUS condition. There is no publishing date, but a letter from Mark Twain dated 1896 is quoted, So I'm guessing that the book came out some time around that time. This is the IMPERIAL EDITION. There are over 500 photo illustrations. There are 24 chapters relating to India as it was over 100 years ago - including a chapter on the Indian Army which is quite interesting - Plus chapters on Burma and Ceylon. The photos are wonderful and capture the exotic nature of the country. Very worthwhile owning.. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket.

Lackawanna Railroad, New York, 1936. This is a wonderful old advertising pamphlet. listing tours operated by the Lackawanna Railroad throughout the country. 10" X 7" in illustrated paper covers. VERY lightly soiled; light library ink stamp on front cover. Excellent inside and out. Numerous black & white illustrations. Interesting menu of choices from the era when railroads were preeminent. Great cover art by Robert Kendall Fink. 24pp.. Soft cover. Very Good/No Jacket.
