Deservedly, one Asian sheep hunting book worth having in first edition in nice, Former owner blank bookplate. VG+ condition.

Clark, spent more than a year in what was then remote central Asian regions after Marco Polo sheep and Altai argali, etc. He also hunted ibex and ovis ammon, and was captured, imprisoned and tortured by the Mongols as well. A great hunting book and a story of adventure and survival as well. As new in like orig. slipcase.

While the copy is vg only, the book does have laid inside both prospectuses, the one before publication that can be used to order the book and the one issued afterwards with reviews of the book. Better than a reading copy.

Though remembered as husband of novelist Isak Dinesen, Bror Blixen was a "brilliant and courageous" big game hunter who here retells his story with spellbinding attention to detail. Another popular African big game hunting title in the Capstick reprint series. VG+ in vg dj.

Excellent elephant hunting chapters incl much on tracking tuskers in what is now Zaire. Sought after work. "Blix" was also the husband of Isak Dinesen. This first BRITISH edition (i.e. first ed in English) is very scarce. VG+ to Near fine, yellow cloth showing light soiling, internally near fine.
