Boyd, Jr., Petroleum Industry War Council Chairman. Very good in red cloth with spine a little sunned. Chapter heading sketches by Clare B. Metzger, includes appendices, one of which is an Oil Industry glossary; 174 pages. Ickes was Petroleum Administrator in WWII, and Oveta Hobby served as the first Director of the Women's Army Corps, and the first Secretary of the Department of Health, Education and Welfare when it was founded in the 1950's. Her husband, former Governor of Texas William P. Hobby, is who Hobby Airport in Houston is named for.

Golden, CO: Colorado School of Mines, 1937. First Edition . Hardcover. The Foreword states that this book is a "revision of notes on this subject compiled in 1932." The book appears to be a typescript, but is fully bound in dark green cloth with no lettering on the spine or boards. Ownership name on front endpaper with both a US and an Argentinian address. Large book with numerous mathematical formulae and many diagrams. 364 numbered pages, but many page numbers have multiples (for example, page 87a through 87n are each one page). Has the look of a thesis or dissertation.

The jacket has some dampstains near the bottom of the spine and at edges (not really noticeable on the book). There are also chips at spine ends, flap folds, and corners, and a small triangular chip in the middle of the spine obscuring part of the author's first name. A "biographical narrative" by the daughter of a Texas wildcatter.

Stapled to the front cover is a note with Arabian Gulf Exploration Company (AGECO) at top and a London address at bottom. The note has "with compliments" printed on it, and "Mr. F. A. Yasmina" typed on it. The book is basically a travel guide to Libya, with an ad for Libyan Arab Airlines on rear cover. 134 pages plus publisher's order form on last page.
