The author underwent a mental health crisis (schizophrenia/manic depression) and has written this book about his eventual cure.

Philadelphia: Benjamin Warner, 1820. Hardcover. Second edition, corrected and enlarged, very good- in the original leather. Some writing on pastedowns and facing pages. Front endpaper and one or two pages at rear are missing (the last page is the index through "L"). The leather is worn, especially at the top corner of the rear board, but the title is still legible on the spine. Interior pages are stiff with dampstaining sporadically throughout, but are readable and well bound (no loose signatures, etc.).

Inscribed by the author and dated in 1942 on the front endpaper. Includes a Foreword by Ding Darling, a few illustrations, appendix and an index; 283 pages.

Golden, CO: Colorado School of Mines, 1937. First Edition . Hardcover. The Foreword states that this book is a "revision of notes on this subject compiled in 1932." The book appears to be a typescript, but is fully bound in dark green cloth with no lettering on the spine or boards. Ownership name on front endpaper with both a US and an Argentinian address. Large book with numerous mathematical formulae and many diagrams. 364 numbered pages, but many page numbers have multiples (for example, page 87a through 87n are each one page). Has the look of a thesis or dissertation.

London: Neville Spearman (1959). First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. First UK edition, very good with no dust jacket. Owner's name, town, and year on the front pastedown with a series of numbers below. The front endpaper has a pencilled inscription on which I cannot make out the names. The text of the inscription is: "To mine loyal assistant in der experiments conducted at der Schtunken-Werkes (?) in Baden-Baden..." A couple of pencil lines on last two pages of text. Includes many illustrations and an index; 264 pages.

Yellow sticker on front panel of jacket "Recommended by the Scientific Book Club". Includes a bibliography, index of authorities, and index of subjects; 439 pages.

Small name on front endpaper; one page (pg 27) has parts of four lines underlined in ink. The price clipped jacket has slight loss at spine ends and to chips at edges of the front panel. The author is known as the "father of wireless networking" for his work in the early 1970's at the University of Hawaii on ALOHAnet. Laid in is what looks like a test where this book was a textbook an electrical engineering course.

Hinges are tight; a solid, square copy.

Marbled endpapers and page edges, five raised bands on spine, black title label on spine with one tiny piece missing, marbled page edges. A little rubbing to edges of spine, a little wear generally to the boards. Color folding frontispiece, many illustrations; 385 pages. A book on English geology.
