Description:
London: The Reprint Society, 1961. Reprint. Hardcover. Very Good/very good. Very Good/Very Good. A classic biography of a very complex character - Sir Walter Ralegh. Reads like a dramatic novel in places, as mirrored by Ralegh's real-life adventures. Central to this account is the man's relationship with Elizabeth I, and his alleged participation in the plot against the incoming James I. Though it would eventually cost him his life upon the scaffold, the author points out in detail that Ralegh's involvement in this crime has never been explained. Contains 350 pages, 19 x 12.5cm, with 10 b&w illlustrations. Yellow boards with maroon quarter binding in very good illustrated dust jacket. Internally, very good: clean, bright and unmarked in excellent bindings.
