It is both a genuine historical study supported by years of research, and a first-hand account, the author having himself witnessed many of the events he describes. Written in a conversational style, which makes the book very accessible despite the magnitude of its subject. Contains 440 pages, 23.5 x 16cm, plus map. Ex-library, front endpaper removed, signs of repairs to binding at some stage, some library markings. Black cloth boards in fair pictorial dust jacket. Internally, fair: shows occasional light stains, but generally clean, bright and unmarked in sound bindings. Not the best available, but a good reading copy.

At first victorious, but then ever conscious of impending defeat, the author tells the story of his squadron in authentic and exciting detail. A rare insight into the German experience of WWII air warfare. Contains 143 pages, 18 x 11cm. Illustrated card covers showing moderate shelf wear, otherwise in good condition. Internally, good: pages yellowing but still very readable and unmarked, in sound bindings.

A look back at the 'career' (and multiple mishaps) of Pilot Officer Prune during WWII. Anyone who flew with the RAF in the 1940s would have heard of Prune, as he was used to illustrate the various ways in which things could 'go wrong', if care wasn't taken. In this volume his creator, Bill Hooper, revues Prune's wartime gaffs, using mannikins of Prune which he made himself. Contains 55-pages, 27.5 x 22cm, and illustrated throughout with colour and b&w cartoons and photographs.
