We specialize in printed books and manuscripts in the humanities, from the 15th to the mid-19th century. Our interests lie in the quirky and the beautiful, or a combination of the two. We like to explore forgotten byways of the historical corpus, the world of popular printing, and books and manuscripts produced by and for less powerful social strata (women, the poor clergy, children, etc.). But we are also interested in the historical book as a crafted object; thus our specialties include early printing and books of significance for their illustrations, typography, or bindings.
