New York: Charles A. Julian Enterprises, 1967. First Edition. Printed wrappers. Near Fine. 4to. Unpaginated. Magazine format illustrated throughout with black & white photographs of the 1967 Newark Riots, along with coverage of Detroit and other cities in which rioting erupted, prompting the dispatch of National Guard. Bound in printed wraps, with exploitative graphics including photos. Slight wear to spine; a well-preserved copy. Publisher is credited as Charles A. Julian, but Acme is printed on the front cover, next to price $1.00. Regardless, little information has been gleaned about publisher Charles Julian, other than Las Vegas Bad Boy (Las Vegas, 1970).While the exclamatory graphics of the front cover suggest an exploitative effort, the stunning photographs and text are fairly neutral in documenting the unrest afflicting inner-cities. Rare, with no copies recorded by OCLC, no copies marketed online at the date of this listing (2024). Now housed in a removable, clear sleeve with an acid-free backing.
