This consists in four volumes in the Harlie Series, all uniformly bound: two volumes ofThe Sea-Shore, 1863, green cloth and orange cloth 1865, dampstained; Friskie the Pony, 1865, maroon cloth which is water spotted; and Wild Peggy, 1863, blue cloth, corners rounded, pencil math computations on the endpapers and a 2" split at the front gutter.

Boston: William Pierce, 1834 Early education work by this prolific author of children's stories. Bound in period cloth that has faded to a dull red. Frontis is an engraved false title page with 1833 date, title page is dated 1834. Heavy foxing to endpapers, light scattered foxing throughout.

Dodd Mead, 1870 This the second of the Juno series, possible first with ad at front listing the next two titles as"ready in September", 28 pages of ads in back. Bound in brown cloth with gilt and black decorations, with a little wear at the extremities and first front endpaper missing.

H Hallett & Co. Salesman's prospectus bound in mustard colored cloth with black and gilt decorations c 1880. No date but "revised edition on teh title page. Bumped corners, three names in pencil on the order form. A good solid copy.

This book is in two parts: Some Considerations in the Design of the Small House Drawings of Forty Houses to cost $12,500; Twenty Designs for a Suburban House and Garage, 68 and 64 pages. The title page is missing, the first two leaves have old tape repairs, and the last leaf has marginal tears/chips just barely touching the diagram at one spot. Otherwise all drawings and plans are quite clean.

Boston: Russell, 1871 Bound in green cloth with gilt titles, 371 pp. Internally al but the first and last few leaves are unread. Covers with wear at tips and top of spine, chip at tail of spine.

New York: Cady & Burgess, 1847 Charming little book illustrated with engravings. Leather spine on paper boards rubbed, corners rounded, edge wear. Dampstain and some foxing throughout. Still a good clean copy.

Houghton Mifflin, 1905 Written by the author of "Log of a Cowboy", this book tells of driving Texas cattle to Fort Buford. Cover with wear at tips, a few pages have faint corner creases, occasional foxing, else very good. 371 pp plus 4 pp ads

Boston: Henry Hoyt, 1871 A quite attractive volume bound in purple cloth with black and gile Eastlake style decorations, all edges gilt. Corners are bumped, light wear to the top of spine.

Easton Press, 1998 Bound in full leather with gilt decorations in shrinkwrap. Shrinkwrap is torn at top, else as when published.

Boston: Lee & Shepherd, 1863 Bound in blind-stamped blue cloth with gilt on spine. Book has edgewear and one sig proud.. Still, a good solid copy with gilt on spine still legible.

E H Butler & Co., 1858 Bound in brick red cloth with beveled boards, gilt and black decorations, 317 pp, all edges gilt. Nice solid copy with shelf wear spine extremities and tips. Handsome copy.

S Buckley, 1713 Bound in period calf with five raised bands, 8 pp dedication to Mr Methuen fromRichard Steele, 324 pp plus 10 pp index. Calf is quite rubbed, spine chipped. This contains the issues from September3, through Saturday, December 6, 1712 Contents very good wihout any foxing, with light illegible pencil notes on the rear endpaper.

This is a 47 line letter to "My Dear Mr Russell" , written in black ink on both sides of Chicago Athletic Club stationary and mounted in a document display case with both sides visible. Letter is dated Dec 21. Ade talks about being home for Christmas, in New York on the 30th. Apparently this letter is to his publisher as he lists the costs of advertising in five newspapers and askes for a check for part of the cost since advertising was his idea.

Werner, 1896 "Little Folk's Library", tiny blue children's paperback book with black decorations. According to Russo [1947] "the first issue of Circus Day has been almost legendary". This copy is rubbed at the hinges with the blank front free endpaper coming loose. There is a pencil inscription on the front free endpaper also.. Still a nice presentable copy of a rare book. Author's first book.

Blue Ribbon Books Bound in dark blue cloth with orange titles, 347pp. top edge stained orange, "Dedicated with some hesitation and infinite deference to various uncontrollable ladies". Besides the exceptional condition of this book what separates it is an old newspaper clipping tipped to the front end paper. It is some reminiscences of an old west barber who had an experience with Jane's famous temper and still had a scar on his head in 1938 to prove it. The barber, Johnny Mills was working in Laramie Wyoming when Jane came in for a shampoo. While she was bent over with her head in a basin a customer walked by and slapped her behind. Jane, known for her temper, stood up, grabbed a pitcher and, thinking the barber had done it threw the pitcher and hit poor Mills in the head.
