Eye-opening information on the addition of enhancers to spirits.

Allegorical representation of U.S. on its centennial on front cover, back cover lists other centennial publications by publisher, engravings throughout. Covers are torn and chipped at edges and lightly soiled. Some pages still unopened, some crudely opened. Not commonly found in this unbound state.

Wear to edges, hinge of volume I slightly tender but holding, text blocks of both volumes tight, frontispiece of Vol. I not present, scattered foxing and age-toning to text and plates. Both volumes illustrated throughout with engraved scenes and portraits, plus numerous maps and diagrams.

A very sound copy, very slight rubbing of corners, small spot on front endpapers, text is clean and binding is tight. Uncommonly titled "Lucy On the Mountains" on title page, unlike the more common "Lucy Among the Mountains.

Light wear and light soiling to cover, interior is sound. This guidebook gives an overview of over 70 individual towns and villages in the Boston area's South Shore. It is a compact and attractive little book, and it llustrated throughout with photos and line sketches.

Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. 156pp. Red cloth, gilt and black lettering to cover and spine, all edges gilt, 8 colored plates and numerous black and white engravings. Edges lightly rubbed, light soil to rear board and spine, text is clean, inscriptions on verso of frontispiece , former owner's bookplate on front pastedown. An attractive little book with handsome color plates.

Covers lightly rubbed and soiled, tiny puncture through last 10 leaves, abrasion and small hole through dedication page. Six Christmas short stories originally published in the New York World. A scarce title by a former Universalist pastor. This is the original 1911 priinting, not a modern reprint.

A listing of farms for sale arranged by county. The towns and cities are listed alphabetically and each includes a detailed description of every farm for sale including buildings, water supply, crops, roads, asking price, distance to schools and churches. A fascinating look at rural Connecticut a century ago. An original publication, not a recent reproduction.
