Finland: Republic Pictures Corporation, 1957. 1st Edition . No Binding. Fine. A Finnish A2 one-sheet for the 1953 sci-fi/pulp movie, Canadian Mounties vs Atomic Invaders. The film took a while to get to Finland and was first screened in cinemas in 1957 with no subsequent theatrical runs. This poster is not a modern reproduction or reprinting and nor is it Video/DVD-related This particular poster is a standard size 60cm x 40cm approx, printed by Salonen Oy. It is in superb, Fine condition - unfolded but with pinholes at the corners. No nicks to the edges but a small tear at the top edge. Fully illustrated in colour (artist name in the plate).

Finland: 20th Century Fox, 1967. 1st Edition 1st Printing. No Binding. Very Good. First Printing. A vintage, original, Finnish cinema poster for the first screening in Finland (October 1967) of the classic Robert Aldrich film, The Dirty Dozen, starring Lee Marvin. A folded poster in VG condition, approximate size is 24 inches by 16 inches, standard Finnish A2 format. SIGNS OF USE: 2-inch tear at the top right edge. Pinholes at corners. Traces of tri-folding and around these are secondary creases. Minor scrapes to the black titles. At the verso there are a couple of ink-splash type stains. One of these shows through (at the letter "L" in "Jaeckel"). Notwithstanding these faults the poster still presents very well and will look superb under glass. For best appreciation of condition, please examine the high-resolution image which accompanies this listing.

Finland: Kosmos-Filmi Oy, 1934. 1st Edition . No Binding. Fine. A fascinating Finnish A2 "small" one-sheet, cinema poster for the classic Soviet-era comedy-musical Jolly Fellows, aka "Moscow Laughs" and "Jazz Comedy" directed by Grigori Aleksandrov. The film was made in 1934 and was hugely successful. It's director Aleksandrov, Sergei Eisenstein's long-time co-director, won numerous accolades and attracted the attention and praise of Graham Greene amongst other notable critics. The film was first screened in Finland in 1934 by Kosmos-Filmi Oy, a distributor and importer of Soviet films. No subsequent releases or even screenings are recorded. However, Kosmos-Filmi requested a new inspection from the Finnish Film Classification board in 1958. We believe this poster was created at that time to accompany a new screening, possibly in one of the Russian-owned cinemas located in Helsinki at that time. Finland: Nordisk Tonefilm, 1959. 1st Edition . No Binding. Fine. An original and extremely rare Finnish A2 film poster for the Swedish Documentary Film "JAGANDA" from 1958. In this documentary, the explorer Rolf Blomberg travels into Brazil's jungle in search of the terrifying Xavante indians. This poster is neither a reproduction nor a re-printing. The film was screened for the first time in Finland in March 1959 and there were no further theatrical releases following its initial screening. The poster is an offset print made by Kemigrafen Oy of Finland. No artist name visible. Measures 59cm x 39cm approx and in outstanding shape with no pinholes or adhesive residue. Centre-fold line visible but in beautiful clean condition with no edge wear, tears or nicks. A superb example of vintage cinema advertising art and very scarce.
