The book is in Fine condition save for the front cover panel where some of the silver ink has rubbed away from the embossed seagull's tail. Some wrinkling to the end paper (please see photographs); possibly occurred during manufacturing. A 1970 edition with "29" on the copyright page; an early slip-cased edition that is signed by the author. The fragile silver slipcase has light scuff marks and minor discoloration that is typical of this edition but is overall solid with no tears or breaks. It is the 1970 edition, 25th printing. This is a special memorial copy of Jonathan Livingston Seagull created for an event for renown pilot Beverly "Bevo" Howard in 1973 in South Carolina. The dustjacket is also in very nice condition with only very light wear at the edges. There is no price on the dustjacket which is slightly clipped at the top; we are unsure if a price ever existed. The beautiful dustjacket is protected by an archival plastic cover. This book was signed November 28, 2005 during a wonderful 2 hours we spent with Mr. Bach, one of our favorite authors.

Bound in the Deluxe binding of quarter-bound red leather with blue cloth with an image inset, titled in gold. With a matching blue cloth slipcase with gold titling and a cutout for the cover inset to show through. B.E. Trice Imprint on spine. A beautiful binding and both book and slipcase are in fine unread condition. It's hard to imagine that a publisher would reset the font to make this single imprint, but they did and it created a wonderful one-of-a kind edition for the late Herb Yellin who was the beloved founder and publisher of Lord John Press; he passed away in 2014 and this beautiful and scarce book is from his library.
