Some light coloured stains on front cover. Corners and spine ends are bump[ed and worn. Pen inscription on FEP and FFEP. Hinge is tight and intact. Illustrated endpaper. List of publisher's other titles at end of book.

Stowe's classic abolitionist tale of slavery in nineteenth century America. Boards are moderately to heavily soiled. Hinge is slightly cracked but very much intact. Pages are clean without foxing or staining. Owner's name delicately inscribed on FFEP with a date that looks like '06. Book dates to just around 1900. Includes author preface. Two pages of publisher's advertisements for the, "Evening Hour Library" of which this is volume # 28.
