An original First Screening, Finnish, cinema-used lobby poster for the 1962 film THAT TOUCH OF MINK, starring Cary Grant, Doris Day and Gig Young. The film received its Finnish Premier in November 1962 with no subsequent re-release. This particular poster is a standard size Finnish A2, 60cm x 40cm approx. Signed in the plate by the artist. Condition - C5/6, VG to Near Fine. A folded poster with prominent crease to middle. Pinholes at corners. A couple of small nicks at bottom edge. Most noticeably, a cinema label to the left-hand side - I would judge this to be irremovable. Even so, this is a really lovely poster - the colouring is gorgeous and the label adds that touch of authenticity! Florence: Louis Niccolai, 1888. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. First Printings. 3 volumes, pp.2088. A bibliographical A to Z of French writers of the day. In contemporary deluxe bindings by Anderssons (Stockholm) in half-leather, with raised bands and gilt tooling, marbled boards and edges, and decorative endpapers. Attractive ex-libris plate to each front pastedown along with a small library label from an old book auction-house. At the rear of volume II there are some random spots to the final few leaves indicative of some kind of spillage as opposed to foxing, otherwise the books are free from spotting. The rather cheap paper-stock has browned in each volume. All three volumes are rubbed and bumped at the corners with loss of the marbling at those places but otherwise the bindings are in Fine condition - a remarkable, handsome set.

Produced to the usual high Taschen standards, each volume in Fine condition - hardly read, it would seem - and each dustjacket also fine with slight edge creasing. Some marks to slipcase and wear aloing the edges. A detailed chronological overview of major international Architectural Competitions over the preceeding 200 years, from the White House in Washington to the new Reichstag in Berlin. An impressive publication.

Slightly dusty top edge but otherwise Very Fine in Very Fine unclipped dustjacket. Signed/Dated & located by the author in the year of publication with a nice generic "Best Wishes" at the title page.

Chipped at the corners and at tope edge of the rear panel, minor nicks and tears but still looks good, an attractive little book.

No nicks, tears, splits and overall, a nice, Near Fine jacket.

Finland: Universal Pictures, 1966. 1st Edition 1st Printing. No Binding. Fine. A super cinema-used Finnish A2 one-sheet for the 1966 movie, TEXAS ACROSS THE RIVER starring Dean Martin & Alain Delon. The film was first screened in cinemas in Finland in February 1967 with no subsequent theatrical screenings. This particular poster is a standard size 60cm x 40cm approx. It is in Very Fine used condition - pinholes at corners but unfolded. There are minor handling creases but no loss of paper, and no nicks or tears to the edges. As usual the Finns have done their own thing with the layout and design but the graphics are great. Exceptionally clean and bright. A very nice example of vintage movie advertising art and design in outstanding condition. For best appreciation of condition, please examine the high-resolution image which accompanies this listing.
