Folio. 398 x 300 x 24mm. (15 5/8 x 11 3/4 x 1in.); Plates 298 x 212mm. (11 3/4 x 8 3/8in.).
Sheets 380 x 280mm. (15 x 11in.). 10 etchings and drypoint with extensive additions in
gold paint contained in red linen covered clam-shaped portfolio with gilt letters. The
complete set of ten drypoint etchings with gilding, hors-texte, on Arches wove paper, with
the title page and justification, numbered 275 on the justification in pencil, each drypoint
signed and numbered 275/300 in pencil (there was also an edition of 200 in Roman
numerals on Japan); the full sheets, loose (as issued), without the text, together with a
certificate from the publisher, contained within a red fabric slipcase, with gold lettering
on the front cover. Glassine guards. Excellent condition.
Les Amours Jaunes is the only collection of poems by Tristan Corbière (1845-1875), an

A RICHLY ILLUSTRATED RENAISSANCE BOOKFIRST VERNACULAR EDITION. 4to, ff. [6], CCLXXXII, with a woodcut portrait of the author and 22 charming vignettes. Roman letter. Title within elaborate ornamental border with figures. Clean, bright and crisp copy, printed on heavy paper. Modern period-style binding in limp vellum with ties, ms. name to head of spine.First edition in any vernacular language. The Greek original was not printed until 1548. Moss quotes Haym on this edition of 1533: "Edizione rara". The interesting woodcuts are by several artists, whose monograms appear on each. Humanist Leoniceno vulgarised directly from the Greek both Procopius (Milan, Biblioteca Ambrosiana, Ambr. 272 ​​inf.) and this Roman History of Cassius Dio, a work already started in 1473 and completed before 1488.
