Description:
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1917.. 31pp. Rose boards, stamped in gilt. Portrait of Pound by Gaudier-Brzeska. Spine somewhat sunned, gilt lettering with a slight patina, boards faintly dust-soiled, small bump toward crown of spine, but a very good, clean copy, without the usual foxing to the verso of the frontis. Lacking the plain tan paper shipping wrapper. First edition of Eliot's anonymously published second book, superintended by John Quinn as a promotional for LUSTRA. According to Gallup, one of one thousand copies printed -- however, the frequency with which copies turn up - particularly in light of the attrition rate one would expect for a book so delicate - can't help but suggest the edition may have possibly been a bit larger. Cambridge: Harvard Film Service, [ca. 1934].. 12" 78 rpm phonograph record, enclosed in plain contemporary sleeve. Signs of having been played, with a few light surface rubs, but very good or better. The sleeve has a note ('A-') on one panel. The first phonograph recording by Eliot cited by Gallup, but at slight variance due to the assertion of having been produced by the Harvard Film Service. Gallup's entry explicitly cites Harvard University Press. This copy bears the numbers "P-990 SS 5052" and "P991 SS5053." GALLUP E5a.

Description:
London: The Ovid Press, [1920].. Quarto (29 X 23 cm). Quarter yellow-tan cloth and black cloth over boards, paper spine label, edges untrimmed. Label darkened, bookplate in corner of front pastedown, inner hinges cracking slightly, but a very good copy. First edition, the second state of the binding for the ordinary issue. Decorated with opening initials and colophon by E.A. Wadsworth. From an edition specified as consisting of a total of 264 copies, this is copy #130 and is printed on heavy, untrimmed handmade paper. Ostensibly, there were to be ten unnumbered copies for review, but "the frequency with which unnumbered copies appear would indicate that a good many more than the unscheduled ten were so issued" - Gallup. A subset of the edition was bound with reversal of signature 'C' with the consequent disruption of pagination, and were printed on a slightly lighter weight Whatman paper, with edges trimmed.
