Two-page mimeograph price list for April 1930 laid in. "A microtome is a cutting tool used to produce extremely thin slices of material known as sections. Important in science, microtomes are used in microscopy, allowing for the preparation of samples for observation under transmitted light or electron radiation" (Wikipedia). Not in Romaine or OCLC.

Earle, "a professional artist, sailed for Hokianga from Sydney aboard the brig "Governor Macquarie" on October 20, 1827. Earle describes native life and religion, Captain Herd's settlement at Hokianga, and the natural history of New Zealand. The book includes an account of the massacre of Captain Marion de Fresne's crew by the New Zealanders in 1772, based on the testimony of a native eyewitness. pages [285]-371 contain Earle's narrative of Tristan da Cunha" (Hill). "Having had a desire for some time to get away from Washington for a few days of restful diversion, including some hoped for fishing in southern waters, the President had previously instructed Captain Callaghan, his Naval Aide, to have the Potomac available at Port Everglades, Florida, for a projected cruise to the Bahamas." Providence: Providence Press Company, 1873. 8vo, pp. 20; self-wrappers, stitched, as issued; very good. Property owners at the northern edge of Bristol seek to change the boundary between the two towns so they would live in Warren, the downtown of which much closer than the downtown of Bristol. Accompanied by a contemporary copy of the original manuscript petition of the Bristol residents, listing the names of 59 affected property owners, to the State of Rhode Island, a 7-page document outlining the argument, signed by the R.I. Secretary of State, Joshua M. Addeman, dated May, 1872, stating that "the said petition be continued to the next January session of the General Assembly, and that in the meantime the petitioners give notice of the pendency of the said petition with a copy of this order to be served on the town clerks of the towns of Bristol and Warren." The petition was ultimately approved and that part of Bristol was annexed to Warren in May, 1873.

Eastman (1809-1891), a Methodist clergyman in Putney, VT, rails against the religious views of John Humphrey Noyes and the practices Noyes championed in Oneida community.
