Salem, Oregon: State Printer. Good+ with no dust jacket. 1885. First Edition. Three-Quarter Leathe. Rubbing at the top of the spine, with separation of the surface of the leather either side of the spine. Rear outer hinge is cracking to ~4" up from the bottom. Very little wear to the edges & corners. Front interior hinge is tight, rear is starting to crack. Pages are browning, but otherwise very fine. Book appears to be "fine" or better, but downgraded for the hinge separation.; 6x8 1/2" .

Salem, Oregon: W. H. Byars, State Printer. Good with no dust jacket. 1882. First Edition. Three-Quarter Leathe. Leather is cracking at the spine ends, and rubbed at the edges. Owner's stamp on the fep & title page. Interior is fine or better.; 6x8 1/2" .

Owner's name on the fep (dated 1873) ; Bound in green cloth, with some moisture damage to the lower 1/4, which does not show at all inside. ; Small 8vo 7½" - 8" tall; 177+ads pages .

NY: The Macmillan Co.. Good with no dust jacket. 1902. Limited First Edition. Original Cloth. Remember, as a book condition, good isn't (good, that is). The good news first. This is one of a limited edition of 100 large paper copies, printed on specially made paper. The interior is "fine", with slightest browning of the page edges. Now the bad news. The hinges are cracking, but worse is yet to come. The vellum spinehas darkened & faded, and is badly chipped at the top, with a tear, and a 3/4x1 1/2" piece missing at the top. The edges of the boards (called paper-over-boards, as they were only a fragile paper covering over the boards) has been reinforced at the edges with green tape. There is a very faint damp stain to the last couple pages, with no other moisture damage. The gilt on the cover is present and unworn, but dulled. The cover is very fine, but there is a book plate inside the back cover, and owner's name (& two fish stamps from the national wildlife fed.) inside the front cover. Some idiot has written "Cheyenne" above the author's name on the title page.; 5x7 1/2" .

Philadelphia: Lippincott, Grambo & Company. Very Good. 1853. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. Bound in the original decorated blue cloth. Rubbed at the corners, and through the cloth at two spots on the spine and two spots at the top edge. Owner's gift inscription on the fep (dated 1856) . Some of the text pages are very heavily foxed, but the plates were printed on better paper, and are in much nicer condition, although still showing light foxing in spots. Hinges and plates are all intact. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 83+plates pages .

Haverhill, MA: Chas. C. Eastman. Very Good with No dust jacket as issued. (1933). Softcover. This is the original (undated) work. Eastman's publication has been tipped onto heavy gray paper (his were only printed on one side). In addition to his work, there are pages of other publications. Several are out of magazines. There is a letter to John Stablein concerning rope tricks. Stablein answered with a response on the back of the letter, and instructions laid out on the facing page with pieces of string to show how it works. While the Eastman piece is undated, the Stablein letter is dated 1932. Some of the later pages are empty, where something was removed, but nothing related to the primary work. ; 11"; 21+ pages .
